Sterling Engine (v2)
Safety Notice:
Alcohol is used as a flame source for the engine. Avoid moving the container from its base on the apparatus. Gently blow out the flame like a candle when finished.
This engine operates on the Stirling heat cycle. When heat is directed to the nipple the flywheel will run at an appreciable RPM, producing enough electricity to light a RGB LED. Heat is supplied with a small container of alcohol and a wick. This engine converts heat directly into work without an intermediary such as steam or a burning fuel for heat transfer.
