Heated teeter-totter.
PIRA: Unknown
The teeter-totter consists of two glass bulbs connected by a tube about 15 cm long and partly filled with a colored, volatile liquid and with the air partially evacuated. When one bulb is held in the hand, heat from the hand is sufficient to cause rapid evaporation and increase of vapor pressure, forcing a rapid transfer of liquid to the other bulb in a bubbling pulsing manner.
