Gyroscope with counter weight.
PIRA: Unknown
A gyroscope is fixed on one end of a rod with the axis of the gyroscope lined up with the rod. There is also movable counterweight on the rod. The rod rests on a pin on a stand, such that the entire system (rod, gyroscope, and counterweight) can rotate around the stand. By adjusting the distance of the counterweight from the pin, the frequency and direction of the precession can be changed.
