Levitation of magnetic discs.
PIRA: Unknown
Discs of magnetized iron alloy are held in vertical alignment by slipping the discs over an aluminum rod. The discs are magnetized parallel to their axis of symmetry. Like poles repel and unlike poles attract. If the ceramic circular magnets are oriented in such a way that they are stacked with unlike poles facing one another, the stack becomes as a solid cylinder because of the magnetic attraction. When they are stacked with like poles facing, they will \"float\" because of the mutual repulsion.
